JA Nigeria moved to a new office in Jan 2006 BIG LEAFHOUSE 6TH FLOOR

JA Nigeria’s ViMP 2005:
JA Nigeria held the annual Venture in Management Program (ViMP) in partnership with the Lagos Business School (LBS) from the 5th to 10th December 2005. The program was declared open by the President Gateway Front Foundation and First Lady of Ogun State – Mrs. Olufunke Daniel who was represented by the wife of the Attorney General - Mrs. Toyin Osibajo. The Managing Director of Accenture – Mrs. Mobola Johnson who was at the opening also encouraged the participants with her remarks. Chairman, JA Nigeria - Mr. Sola Oyinlola was at the closing ceremony and he helped give out certificates to the participants. A total of 46 participants attended the weeklong program

Partnership with MTN Foundation:
JA Nigeria Partners with MTN Foundation School connect program to implement JA’s technology based programs “Globe” and “JA Titan”.
The first phase of the Globe program involving 12 schools across the country started in February. Queens College Lagos is leading in the program implementation with their partners Cuyahoga Falls High School, Ohio, U.S.
GLOBE is a cross cultural experience that teaches global economics and business, the students compete in an online business simulation or operate a joint-venture company with JA students in another state. It’s a hands-on application of global business.
JA Titan is an Interactive web base simulation teaching Critical Economics, Finance and Management decisions.
ADDITONAL GRANT FROM CITIBANK FOUNDATION
In appreciation of the progress of the work done by JA Nigeria on localization of the ESP and CP kits. The Citibank Foundation has given an additional $25,000 gift towards the implementation of the project.
RUN-A-THON 2006:
Saturday April 1st 2006 is the date that has been set for this year’s Run-A-Thon program with the theme: “Invest in the kids, Invest in the Future.” The program promises to be interesting and fun filled with the participation of some comedians at this edition in the mood of the “April Fools Day”
MTN Foundation has offered to sponsor the production of T-shirts and face caps for participants.
