JA Africa regional meeting holds in Manzini, Swaziland

The first Regional meeting of JA Africa member countries held from the 28th March till 2nd April 2011 in Manzini, Swaziland. The choice of the location was due to a school from the country winning the first Africa Company of the year competition last October. There were 17 Executive Directors in attendance at the meeting with the Africa Regional Board members, JA Worldwide President Sean Rush.

The week long Leadership meeting witnessed the visit by the Prime Minister of Swaziland and several dignitaries within and outside the country. The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the 5 year service award to both Executive Director of JA Nigeria – Kunbi Wuraola and JA Zimbabwe – Phil Mlambo a year after the award was due.

The meeting was concluded after a lot of sharing best practices and the  profferring of solution to implementing, evaluation and monitoring of the participants in the out of school projects by various countries.

The next meeting will hold with the 2nd Africa Company of the year competition in October 2011 to be hosted by JA Ghana
